Criminal procedure is an indispensable foundation for combating crimes, punishing offenders and maintaining order in a democratic state governed by the rule of law, which is why it must be used in such a way as to facilitate and assist investigative processes. When it comes to crimes against the sexual dignity of children and adolescents, the criminal process is such an important pillar that various theses have been developed to facilitate police investigations into these types of crimes, such as the theses of the undercover police agent and the instigating police agent. Therefore, the aim of this research is to study the ways in which child sexual abuse on the Internet occurs and to present possible alternatives for combating the issue.
