This article addresses the relevance and effectiveness of compliance programs in business management in Brazil, especially after the promulgation of Law No. 12,846/2013. Furthermore, it highlights Brazilian and North American legislation, analyzing their sanctions and incentives for the implementation of compliance programs. The main challenges faced in the practical application of these programs in Brazil are also discussed, such as the adaptation of internal policies and the effective supervision of business activities. The methodology used to develop the research is deductive, through the qualitative method, where a study was carried out based on doctrines, jurisprudence, scientific articles and relevant legislation.
