FEDERAL PUBLIC POLICIES AIMED AT THE CARE OF FEMALE SINGLE-PARENT FAMILIES AND THE ROLE OF THE SINGLE MOTHER’S RIGHTS LAW

Abstract

This article aims, through the use of the deductive method, to analyze the bill "Single Mother's Rights Law" Nº. 3.717/21 and the current impacts on the female single-parent family in Brazilian society, minorities that suffer double violence both because it is not constituted in the matrimonial format, and because of discrimination in the labor market,  corroborating the vulnerability of this community in Brazil. In addition, it is extremely important to demonstrate the state's delay at the federal level in regulating laws that specifically assist female mononuclear families, since only in 2021 there was a legislative initiative to advise this group, and likewise, it has been static in the Chamber of Deputies since March 2022.  Therefore, this work, of a scientific nature, seeks to demonstrate the relevance of the theme: "Federal public policies aimed at the care of female single-parent families and the role of the Law of the Rights of the Single Mother" both for society, as well as in the academic space, in order to seek a better resolution to female single-parent families in Brazil.
