This article aims to analyze Sustainable Development Goal 16 and demonstrate how legal professionals can assist in the implementation of SDG 16 and consequently help improve the effectiveness of the Democratic Rule of Law and Public Institutions in Brazil. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are part of the 2030 Agenda, an initiative of the United Nations (UN) to promote a world with sustainable development. The study will use the deductive method, relying on bibliographic and documentary research carried out from the survey of scientific articles published in print or electronic media and pages of official search websites, with a theoretical framework relevant to the research theme in law, in a qualitative bias.
